In this episode, we sail single-handed from San Pedro, CA to Catalina Harbor. We've logged 980 nm year to date. This is the final crossing of 2020 and puts us past 1000 nautical miles. Seas are lumpy and winds are light for the trip to the island. We spend New Years Eve on the mooring while it's blowing 25 knots. We return on New Years Day, with 15-22 knots of wind and enjoy some lively sailing on the back side of Catalina. Boris is chasing the leaders, who have managed to take a few miles on the pack he is in sailing in faster conditions. But for Maitre Coq who will round Cape Horn today he will have to deal with very strong conditions with winds up to 60 knots and 7m waves. By the time Boris reaches cape Horn on the 4th Jan, things should be a little easier.

Our 33 Interceptor sporting new hull lines coupled with lots of upgrades in accessories. We have a diamond stitched twin bolster helm seat, adjustable bow backrests, side doors, a new roof design and a large stern swim platform that overall give our 33 a fresh new look on a well proven tunnel hull design.

Before we head off Magnus makes a quick trip to Bunnings to get bits and bobs to install the roof top tent on the Subaru. We then head north, taking in the beautiful vistas along the way. We pass New Norcia, Northampton, Geraldton and end up in Exmouth for our first brewery stop. There aren’t too many breweries in northern Australia, and many of them are closed on the days that we will pass through, so we find one which is open and check it out. See you all next time. We all love to hear a success story, and the Benetti Oasis is one of the greatest success stories in yachting history. When the project was first presented to the public it was met with great appreciation but not with as many orders as one may expect. By the time I filmed this video no less than THIRTEEN units had been sold though. THIRTEEN! EP 155: We CAUGHT some LONG FIN TUNA on our SAILING CATAMARAN! 🐟 Embarking on our 720nm journey from Cape Town, South Africa to Walvis Bay, Namibia. The first two days we experiences calm waters and light winds. We relaxed, soaked up the sun and tried to catch fish ( to no luck) The wind started picking up ever so slightly and next thing you know... we got a Long Fin Tuna on the rod. We cooked us up some amazing tuna fillets.. it didn't even last for the next meal and tried our hand at tuna biltong. The wind started to pick up which was great.. but along with that came a gnarly swell.. starting at 2m and gradually increasing... See ya next week!! Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted.
