#Segeln #Ostsee #Dänemark #Anholt #Kattegat — Bildquellen — https://bit.ly/3o4BrC2 - Laurits Tuxen - Den druknede bringes i land https://bit.ly/3rIhuCY - Thorvald Niss - The drowned man's ghost tries to claim a new victim for the sea — Unsere Filmausrüstung — https://amzn.to/2UxCs95 - Kamera: Canon EOS 77D https://amzn.to/2xI1yJn - Objektiv: Canon EF-S 10-18mm https://amzn.to/341wCjr - Objektiv: Canon EF-S 18-55mm https://amzn.to/2R47TG9 - Objektiv: Canon EF-S 24mm https://amzn.to/3aAYYUa - Objektiv: Tamron EF 70-300mm https://amzn.to/2JxnDNM - Smartphone: iPhone XS https://amzn.to/2UW4JFm - Gimbal: DJI Osmo Mobile 3 https://amzn.to/3eTAo3b - Action Cam: Osmo Action https://amzn.to/2AnOLhb - Filter: ND-Filtersatz für Osmo Action — Unsere Bild- & Videobearbeitung — https://amzn.to/3n8hr0T - MacBook Air 2020 (Apple M1, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD) https://amzn.to/2UQvGu5 - Mac mini 2018 (Intel i3, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) https://apple.co/2UB1G6O - Videoschnitt: Final Cut Pro X https://affinity.serif.com/de/photo/ - Bildbearbeitung: Affinity Photo https://affinity.serif.com/de/designer/ - Vektorgrafik: Affinity Designer http://map.openseamap.org/ - Kartenmaterial: OpenSeaMap Einige der oben stehende Links sind sogenannte Affiliate Links. Nun arbeiten wir an der Bootssanierung und segeln gleichzeitig durch Griechenland quasi Refit und Langfahrt in einem. In the episode we show you abit more of Finnhamn and then to Napoleonsviken once again. We also had a little trouble with the stern anchor but it wasn't too bad. We have come to the end of the sailing season 2020 and thank god for that, we had some great time but it's been a bit rough this year for us with our own boat starting with the finances and then with the grounding.

Sobraon is a timber constructed boat and was built by Alan Rice who is a well known ship wright and has been slipped so we can repaint and antifoul her hull.
I decide to anchor out and and start testing some of the boat’s systems. Things do not go as planned. I dragged anchor. More than once. This makes me focus on having a propulsion system that works.

This video was taken in August when we thought that the pandemic would start to cease. Well, I guess everyone knows what happened next. However, with this video I'd like to give back some moments of freedom, joy and air travel without masks. I hope we will see each other soon again on board of one of our aircraft. Want the stats behind the video and How fast a Trimaran or Catamaran can sail? Check out the article; https://www.catamaranfreedom.com/why-trimarans-are-faster-than-catamarans-and-how-it-works/ When sailing the Bahamas on my monohull it became very apparent to me that for some reason catamarans would always reach the destination before we did. Now I know why, but what I didn't know was that trimarans are even faster! Actually, the world record for circumnavigating the world is set on a trimaran. so why is it that trimarans are faster than both catamarans and monohulls? The main reason why a Trimaran is faster than a catamaran of the same size is that the Trimaran has less hydrodynamic resistance than the catamaran. Trimarans are using the same principles as Catamarans to move the boat forward but it is able to do it more efficiently since it spreads out the displacement over three hulls instead of two. This makes it possible to make each hull more narrow and thus more streamlined.
This is the second passage in Australian waters

Welcome to one of our cockpit sessions which is normally exclusively for patrons but this time we thought we would allow all our subscribers to see one to get a feel of what they are about. We talk a bit about how our patrons have supported us pre-covid and how in the future their contribution will be very significant in giving us the confidence to carry on and face the increased tests, applications and general bureaucracy that seems to be required for travel in the current climate. We have patrons who have supported us from the start, some that come and go and those that have joined us recently despite the uncertainty in the world. Many have also sent individual gifts from books to electronic kits, camera equipment, computors , water toys, kites and even videos for our kids to be more creative as well as many more. All of this enhances our experiences and as we share all of this on our channel, we hope to spread some happiness, inspiration and hope to an ever increasing audience. It is difficult to travel nowadays and many flights are cancelled but on a boat, we tend to have less restrictions in movement. Boats are often seen as bio secure environments. However, we have to keep a close watch on changing protocols. Some countries are still completely closed and others require a PCR test from your previous port of call, a test on arrival and a further test after 5 days while in quarantine. We aim to travel in the places that may just require a test from the previous port and take into account your time at sea as time for quarantine. It is quite daunting and scary leaving a port and not knowing what the situation will be in the next place. As a sailor, you experience this anyway but with Covid, this feeling is increased. We have decided to keep going and some things help us make these decisions such as knowing we have a bit of extra support from our patrons, both practically and emotionally , the contributions help to enhance our intinerary and cover some of the extra costs such as the extra testing and the data for uploading videos in obscure places. And the future ? We cannot plan too far ahead in this ever changing world, ideally we would like to end up in New Zealand by November 2021 but until the Pacific opens up more, we may find ourselves sheltering in the Caribbean during the hurricane season. Who knows ! What ever happens we shall keep sharing our crazy journey so keep watching, keep sharing and keep smiling! ...and if you want to become a Patron...see below... Escaping cyclone season in the south pacific islands, we made our way north west, to shelter in the solomon islands. Here however, cyclone season provides a difficult problem for us sailors…. there isn’t any wind. We’ve raised the sails in hope many times, kept a keen eye on weather reports, and tried our best to sail when given any slight opportunity. Today, things are different, and finally, we have our wind. We set sail to Munda, the largest settlement on the island of New Georgia, in the Western Province of Solomon Islands. Here we can stock up and buy a much-awaited cold beer. Although, this journey was not as easy as we thought… Edited by: Molly https://www.instagram.com/mollylouisaj/ 👉Web: https://expeditiondrenched.org 👉Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/DrenchedDivers 👉Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ExpeditionDrenched 👉Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/expeditiondrenched/ 👉Merch: https://expeditiondrenched.org/collections Expedition drenched is a U.S. based marine educational non profit 501c3 made possible by our donors and patrons. We've been sailing almost daily this past couple of months, covering lots of new ground and discovering amazing new places to us. The sailing has ben great as you've seen in recent videos, pretty good consistent wind, relatively calm waters and best of all, Marie is really turning into a good sailor. She's adapting well, learning fast on what needs to be packed up, tidied away etc before we set off. She's thinking ahead and preparing food and researching our destinations too. I'm slowly teaching her the technical aspects of sailing, she's tacking alone now, is able to do night watches, reef the headsail etc. Moyo Island had been a place we'd been looking forward to visiting. It sits just north of Sumbawa. There are no really good anchorages, they all tend to be very affected by swell but the place is very worth the visit. Great snorkelling is to be had but the main attraction for us was the Mata Jitu waterfall. Maybe the most beautiful waterfall I've ever been too.
