From tears of joy, to tears of frustration, week 13 of the Vendée Globe was another emotional and dramatic one. And if you thought that the close competition was reserved for the front of the fleet you might want to think again. The 10th edition of the world's toughest offshore race has delivered the highest level of competition throughout the fleet that the event has ever seen. From the front to the back there have been intense private battles that have lasted for 28,000 miles. And such is the pace this time around that even the tail enders are completing the race quicker than before.

This was Jingkun Xu's first Vendée Globe but the one armed Chinese sailor is no stranger to offshore sailing. In the West he was barely known...in China he has a huge following. Where did Jingkun Xu come from and how big is his achievement? This week's Vendee Globe review focusses on his amazing trip as well as taking a look at the two other finishers this week. @VendeeGlobeENG @xujingkun99

Chinese sailor Jingkun Xu's wore his heart on his sleeve as he raced around the world. So did many of the other sailors and while everyone's story was fascinating, the fact that Jingkun has just one arm speaks no English and ran his entire campaign with barely any shore crew made his story all the more fascinating. But his journey was more than that - when he talked to the camera he did so to mark a moment in his journey, for good or for bad and you just couldn't help but get drawn into his world. This week we take a summary look at his incredible story and trip around the world in our Week 15 review - here's a teaser. @VendeeGlobeENG @xujingkun99hines
