Here’s an interesting view of an Exploration 45 from the front. It reveals what Olivier Racoupeau refers to as ‘beam stability’, in his interview on the Garcia Yachts channel. Katy and Jerry on GX25 - Idril pulled up to the dock next to GX27 - Snow Gum. The four of us humans had a good chat about all manner of things relating to Exploration 45s. A friend took a quick video of my electric bike. I'd already ridden 25km that day so the battery was about half full. When full it'll wheelie on full throttle and I'd have to be careful not to flip it! I hit 58km/h in the video here, but had to stop accelerating as I was running out of road! The motor I used was designed for torque. 120nM of torque in my setup. Top speed: 65km/h on a flat road, 55km/h uphill (any hill!) Range: 50km Cost to recharge: $0.09!
