8 Anni Fa, un Momento Leggendario: Il Nostro Patto con Nettuno nel Cuore del Pacifico! ??? Aprile 2017. Immaginate l'immensità blu cobalto dell'Oceano Pacifico che si estende a perdita d'occhio. Eravamo lì, sulla nostra barca, nel bel mezzo di un'epica traversata: da Panama alle mitiche Isole Marchesi. Un viaggio che avrebbe scolpito ricordi indelebili, con l'approdo sognato a Fatu Hiva previsto per i primi di Maggio. Ma prima di raggiungere quelle isole remote, ci attendeva un rito di passaggio ancestrale, un momento carico di emozione e rispetto per le tradizioni marinare: l'attraversamento dell'Equatore! Varcare quella linea invisibile, il confine mitico tra gli emisferi, è un'esperienza che ti entra nell'anima. Ti senti piccolo di fronte alla potenza dell'oceano, ma al tempo stesso parte di una storia più grande, quella dei coraggiosi navigatori che ci hanno preceduto. E come loro, sapevamo che c'era un tributo da pagare. Nettuno, il Signore degli Abissi, esige il suo omaggio da chi osa solcare il suo regno equatoriale. Non potevamo sottrarci a questo rito sacro! Con il cuore gonfio di emozione e un pizzico di solennità, abbiamo offerto il nostro dono al Dio del Mare: un brindisi con il miglior Prosecco, versato nelle acque profonde come pegno di rispetto e per propiziare il resto della nostra avventura. ?? Questo short cattura un frammento di quella magia, un istante sospeso nel tempo e nello spazio, dove abbiamo celebrato il nostro "battesimo" equatoriale. Giornata slow. Sveglia, lavatrici, sistemazioni varie, poi compere, un salto in una spiaggetta da sogno, un ritorno in tender movimentato (onda contro e spruzzi ovunque ?). Una domenica ordinaria, insomma. Da domani si riprende a lavorare al 100% e nei momenti di pausa continueremo a sistemare la barca, che sembra essere scoppiata una bomba. I piani per il futuro? Aaaaaa che programmi pazzeschi ? Volete saperli? ?

A Baked Alaska Parade is when, during dinner, crew members will parade through the main dining room of a cruise ship carrying baked Alaska desserts, while the passengers dining in the room twirl their napkins in the air. Baked Alaska is a classic dessert that consists of three main components: cake, ice cream, and meringue. The dessert starts with a layer of sponge cake. On top of the cake, a layer of ice cream is added, typically flavors like vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. The ice cream is then covered with a dome-shaped meringue made from beaten egg whites and sugar. The unique aspect of Baked Alaska is that the entire dessert is briefly baked in a hot oven, just enough to brown the meringue while keeping the ice cream inside frozen. The meringue acts as an insulating layer, protecting the ice cream from melting during the baking or torching process. When the tradition first started and for many years, the baked Alaska desserts would be set alight, and the wait staff would be weaving around the room holding flaming meringue dishes.  Now, the tradition only exists on a handful of ships. And where 'fire' is used, it's in the form of either battery-powered tea lights or sparklers instead of real flames, for safety reasons.
