As a pilot and professional skydiver, I want to make sure my dog is completely comfortable with every part of the flying experience before we head out on longer aviation adventures together. We go step-by-step through the process of introducing him to general aviation: Sitting in the cockpit with the engine off Starting the engine and getting used to the noise Taxiing around the airport And finally, a short flight around the pattern He crushed the ground portion like a pro, but once we took off, he definitely got more nervous in the air.
