Just over a year ago, our dream to live on a boat and sail around the world became a reality when we moved aboard our new Seawind 1600 catamaran. It hasn't been without challenges, getting caught in storms, boat repairs, and learning to be self-sufficient. However we feel alive, and the most valuable resource we have in this world is time. We wanted to make the most of our time here, experience everything this beautiful world has to offer and make an impact. So we're sharing our journey with you. Captain Jake's relatively short, yet remarkable, three-year journey as a professional sailor may be hard to fathom. However, his passion for sailing has been ingrained in him since childhood, accumulating a commendable total of 11 years of sailing experience. For Jake, being immersed in the great outdoors, basking in the gentle caress of the wind and sun, and venturing into the vast openness of the ocean is a source of immense joy. At the tender age of 19, Jake achieved a significant milestone by obtaining his Captain's license, marking a pivotal accomplishment in his seafaring career.
