Sailing from Vrboska to Stari Grad Up to 37 Knots and unforgettable moments for guests! Are you ready to join us as we navigate the high winds, enjoy the still waters, share incredible stories, and experience the excitement of the open sea. =========================== Transcript Hi everyone. Nick here. We've had an amazing day in Croatia in Hvar. Today we have sailed from Vrboska. Yes there was a massive forecast of Bura. Northeast 20 to 30 to 40 knots. There has been a lot of wind around for sure but we decided that screw it. We're just going to go we may not get into Stari Grad but we need to sail. I'm not going to sit at the dock all day. So we went out we got hit by 37/38 knots which was absolutely amazing um and then it all kind of just petered out and we sailed through it. Then it picked up and then petered out. So it was very gusty. Very on and off. We now did get to Stari Grad. We managed to get into this spot just here. There's been a bunch of reports around from a lot of the other Skippers. One boat at Lombarda actually ran aground. That's this shot here. They really looked in a bit of a trouble. There's been other reports of 50, up to 50 knots at Markarska and down on the peninsula by Pelje?acs as well. So look it's been a hell of a day but we're now here at Stari Grad. We're going to go to Hora Farm but it's been great. =========================== Looking to sail in Croatia? Here are four ways we can help make it happen for you: ?? ?? KNOW YOUR LIMITS - Freediving The first stop for prevention is knowing your own limits. So if you've been in the water for a long time and two things happen, one, the confidence builds like the dives start to feel easier, towards the end of the session, so it feels easier to go deeper, to equalise, you feel more relaxed and everything and the second thing is that your actual capacity goes down. You're more confident but less capable, the longer that you stay non the water. When we're breathing, between dives, we're eliminating more carbon dioxide than we are replacing during the actual dives. We become Hypocapnic. Low, hypo, canonic, carbon dioxide. There's too little CO2 in the body. You might think, that doesn't make sense CO2's a waste product of course we need to get rid of it, but you do need a baseline level of CO2 in the body in order to stimulate the dive reflex.
