I have a LED lamp with a built-in motion detector in my hallway that is not working. The lamp works off of 230 VAC. In this video I troubleshoot and repair this lamp. 30-55kg category battlebots "Musi" vs. "Mõlvar" in the Estonian version of battlebots/robot wars. "Musi" features a 15 kg horizontal spinner @1400rpm and "Mõlvar" has a hardox steel beak plus lots of traction. "Musi" lost by K.O. due to shock damage to the controller battery switch, which failed open. "Musi" was built by ngo SPARK Makerlab and Degritter ltd.

"Kalli" (meaning Hug in Estonian) is a 30kg battlebot which demonstrates it's weapon, a 5 kg horizontal spinner spinning at about 1700 RPM. It operates with a Turnigy SK8 5045-195KV Sensored Brushless Motor (14P) from HobbyKing. The motor controller is based on the open-source VESC, hardware version 4.2.

"Musi" is a horizontal spinner battlebot built by fellows from three companies: SPARK Makerlab, RCSnail and Degritter (video has subtitles). The bot weighs 55kg and boasts a 20+kg horizontal spinning blade. The tip of the blade travels at about 260 km/h or 160 mph. It will take part in the Estonian battlebot competition "Robolahing". The drivetrain is made of cordless drill transmissions. Two primary wheels provide motion and a roller in the nose acts as a omnidirectional wheel. The blade is spun by a modified Honda Civic starter motor, working at 12VDC and drawing 230 A steady (600-700 A peak).

I got this CTC 3D printer off of Ebay for about 350 USD. It is a Chinese Makerbot Replicator Dual ripoff. In short: it came with lots of loose hardware, had a messed up manual on the SD card and was a bit enigmatic to set up, but I got it running in about 2 hours and it printed relatively well, without any modifications whatsoever! It is definitely worth the money. Here are the steps to get the CTC 3D printer working straight out of the box: 1) Unbox the machine, watch out for loose nuts and bolts. 2) You are provided a hex-wrench. Use it to check all the nuts and bolts on the machine - tighten any that are loose. But do not over-tighten, you'll split the plywood with the nut. The joint should be just firm. 3) Check that the power supply switch (as in the video) is set for your wall outlet voltage: either 230 VAC or 110 VAC. 4) Connect the power plug and turn on the machine. 5) Level the build plate with the "Utilities" menu selection on the machine, follow the instructions on the LCD. 6) Choose "print from SD card" and print an example PLA file. If your print does not stick to the plate, follow these instructions in order of importance: 1) Level the build plate so that a sheet of paper fits between the extruder and the build plate (the leveling function is available from the menu, it is a pretty automated process). 2) Increase the build plate temperature in the Makerware software. 3) Use rafts as print bed. 4) For ABS: pour a fingertip-sized puddle of acetone onto the build plate. Dip a piece of ABS plastic into the pool and smear the dissolving plastic around the plate. This gives excellent adhesion with ABS. It most likely enhances PLA adhesion too. That is it!

Four years ago I built an arc welder out of two microwave oven transformers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EA-nzDJbKo). Back then I had absolutely no experience with welding. Now I have had the machine for four years and I am ready to give a strong thumbs up for the concept of building a welder out of MOTs. I have upgraded the cooling (burned a winding once) and added a softstart circuit (NTC resistor based). No more blown circuit breakers!
